TIMBER ENGINEERING

Back

What do you do when parts of large sectioned timber have decayed, and full replacement is impractical or expensive, or support with steel is unacceptable.

Well, the truss ends seen here were decayed by Dry Rot at their wall bearings.

And at the other end of the truss, what if the supporting wall is being removed as well.

Well, the decayed truss can be cut back to sound timber, with a Rotafix TRS (Timber Resin Splice) fitted in place, with Engineers calculations provided to determine exactly where to locate high tensile steel reinforcement rods.

And at the other end, a TRS can be used to fit exactly upon the supporting steel.
